This project is a Dead Rising 4 DLC campaign, released for free a year later
Timeline: Completed in a 6-8 month duration starting in spring 2016
My role: As a generalist and level designer, I owned level implementation, scripting, and quality assurance for most of the campaign, including,
Cases 1, 3, 4, and parts of Case 6’s final missions
I also identified new issues introduced by adding and removing major gameplay features. The solutions I implemented primarily addressed save/load, access to out of world areas, and object interaction.
What is CAPCOM Heroes?
- Same Dead Rising 4 story with novel combat mechanics
- Replaces combo weapons with iconic CAPCOM costumes
- Tone shifts further to comedy with goofy zombie-fighting abilities
- Discover Challenges for each costumed character, then train Frank to become a hero for Willamette
- Use arcade cabinets around the city to swap between Frank’s unlocked costumes
- Activate power-up machines to wear unique costumes with the wildest abilities this game offers
My personal achievement on CAPCOM Heroes was authoring six challenges that are exemplars of engaging side content experiences
