Our project intentionally avoided relying on dedicated programmers, aside from the founder and an old colleague who joined for a few months, late in the project. <br>The Technical Design team created a fully-playable demo for publishers and integrated the work of all other disciplines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">My unique responsibilities as Technical Lead beyond supporting my direct reports included: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">reviewing, approving, and merging more than 80% of pull requests<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">acting as the primary build guardian for our GitLab repository<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">providing teamwide technical support for ~15 contributors<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">interacting with other Leads to provide technical support<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">I am proud of the many achievements we realized in the creation of this demo, but unfortunately the studio was closed down in September 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">My experience as a teacher was important to help me lead our less experienced implementers, though I also worked with &amp; learned from some extraordinarily senior designers &amp; developers on Project Adam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignwide size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/dodgethis.com\/portfolio\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/image.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" src=\"https:\/\/dodgethis.com\/portfolio\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/image-1024x682.png\" alt=\"Gameplay capture from demo.
